It was a great night for the summer group show at Vale Gallery.   The weather was perfect,  the crowds were good,  lots of great art and fabulous people.   There are so many,  many things I love about being an artist! 

There is a lot to love about my new studio but maybe the nicest thing is that this view of the city means I can dance to heart’s content and no one can see me.   Pretty sweet.   I am quite an amazing dancer when there is no one around to be embarrassed by me.  

I just recieved pictures of this recent commission piece in a client’s home.   I love to see everything pulled together and complete!  I have no single area in my own home which is this perfect which is maybe why I appreciate it so much!   It was a wonderful project to work on with the client and the designer.

This week I have been experimenting with combining silk and acrylic on cradled panels.   It has been fun,  but there is a definite learning curve involved! 

30×30 wool &  silk piece created when I should have been doing other things.   Sometimes procrastination is the best motivator of all!
